Today I:

1. Overslept.

2. Found leaks in both of my previously waterproof boots just in time for rainy season.

3. Utterly failed to get a fire started and yet

4. Somehow managed to burn a hole through the front porch despite the aforementioned rain (don't ask, okay? Just don't.)

I'm going to pour myself a drink and go back to bed.

(Long story...somewhat less long: there was a charred log still in the stove that I removed in order to attempt to build a fire with fresh kindling. Because I am the stupidest person alive, I set it outside on the porch. And forgot about it. Turns out it wasn't entirely out, and managed to burn through the porch planks despite the entire place being soaked.)
