Well... here's where we get REALLY cynical - because I hate the harpy in charge and know she has an agenda... this is the beginning of her character assassination of Dean. Yep. He's off the market, he's gone soft, and he's just walked away from his brother in hell and his surrogate father, and yep, his life isn't even about saving people anymore. Where is the hero we all came to love and admire? Now... having said that, I happen to love Dean with Lisa and Ben - and I really loved the episode - well I was satisfied because I think Kripke got to mostly have his vision play out - except for the last few minutes. There's no doubt in my mind that Kripke's real vision was for Dean to NOT leave Sam at all and it should have been Dean going into the pit with Sam -- all Thelma and Louise.... But now we have angsty, supernatural, outsider, abandoned Sam to focus on next season.... Sorry... I'm really, really dubious about the harpy being able to pull anything coherent together - but this way all the sex and nakedness we'll see when the boys get back on the road will be Sam. Will it in fact begin with Lisa and Ben dying? And then Sam having to help Dean through it - a la season 1??? *sigh* *rant out*.....
