Dean's pigheaded stubbornness was definitely going through my mind when I wrote this. I think he'd be able to hold out for a long time, just out of willpower.
I think the finale pushed a lot of people into D/C. It was pretty epic. (Also, I've been meaning to read that story for the longest time, and have yet to get around to it. So thank you for reminding me :P)
