Favorite book read this year: 11/22/63, by Stephen King. Largely for the nostalgia factor: I used to love King's stuff, but I haven't read him in ages.

Favorite album/song(s) listened to this year: Eh, nothing new that really sticks, but I recently got back into classic protest rock, which was fun

Favorite TV show/s this year: Agent Carter, always. Leverage, Stranger Things, Teen Wolf

Favorite new shows this year: Teen Wolf, which was new to me, anyway.

Favorite characters this year: Peggy Carter, as always

Favorite villains this year: Frank Dunning, who was terrifying in such an intimately believable way, as so many of King's villains are.

Favorite fictional couples this year: Daniel/Jack/Peggy, Sterek, Jonathan/Nancy/Steve

Favorite fictional relationships this year: Stiles and Scott. I just love their friendship so much. Honorable mention to Steve and Dustin

Most unexpected new fandom: Teen Wolf. I tried it years ago and bounced off it hard, mostly because it reminded me a bit too much of Supernatural, but I really fell headfirst into the fandom/show this year.

Biggest fandom disappointment of the year: Infinity War. Although I was pretty thoroughly spoiled for it by the time I actually watched it.

Biggest squee moment of the year: IMMIGRANT SONG IN THOR RAGNAROK

Most missed old fandom: I will probably always mourn Supernatural. Agent Carter fandom seems to finally be fading out, which is expected but still makes me sad.

Potential new fandoms: Nothing so far! I've been watching The Good Place, but it doesn't feel like something I'm likely to get into the fandom for. I did get a whole pile of recommendations on this post, though, so I've got options

Reflection
Personal favourite fic of the year: I actually wrote quite a lot of fic that I liked this year. I'm gonna say it's a tie between 'The Seven Lives of Stiles Stilinski' and 'Stay a Stranger', for similar reasons (although they're very different fics): they were both really hard to get right and still came out how I wanted them to.

Biggest risk of the year: Probably ALL OF THE PORN, since it's not really my forte.

Most under-appreciated fic of the year: Eh, nothing really. Most of my fic got (for me) a decent response, and the ones that didn't were very short one-shots for tiny fandoms.

Most fun to write: 'Full Immunity and Means', just because it was mostly comedy, which I don't do all that often.

Hardest to write: 'The Seven Lives of Stiles Stilinski'. I don't usually write fic that long, and it had a pretty complicated plot.

Most 'holy crap, that's wrong' moment: I don't think it's actually the most disturbing fic I posted this year, but getting into Billy's head in 'Love at First Sting' was really uncomfortable for me. He's simultaneously so pathetic and so awful.

Most unintentionally-telling story: Probably a tie between all of my explicit Sterek fic, honestly. Especially reading back through them, there are definitely, uh. Some reoccurring themes.

Shows and movies I'm most looking forward to next year: Stranger Things Season 3, and Avengers:
Endgame, even though it'll probably make me mad.

I love that for many of us our main fandoms aren't even airing this year. It just shows how much we love them that our energy stays up over YEARS. For Agent Carter, that is. What made you get into Teen Wolf?

Scott and Stiles are the absolute best. I ship them a little but mostly brotp because... I can't even put it in words.

I've read some of your fic before (I know I read Sick Day but hadn't kudosed it. Fixed that now) but there's so much I'm marking for later. How do you find the time?

Sterek really is NOT my thing but The Seven Lives of Stiles Stilinski sounds interesting enough that I'm gonna try.

Yeah, it's funny how we stay invested in things long after they stop airing. As for TW...I honestly don't even remember? I was kind of poking around looking for a new urban fantasy-type show, and it had a vibe I liked (Stiles. A lot of it was Stiles, tbh.)

I LOVE their brotp. I've written a little shipfic for them, but I'm so in love with their friendship on the show that I'm kind of already getting everything I want from it.

As for the time.... mostly I write on my lunch break at work. Or I just don't sleep, lol.

I think a friend got my into TW and I only agreed because I'd been drowning in tumblr gifs for a year already. Stiles was definitely what made me stick around after I realised the plotting was terrible, and Scott grew on me later. He's so underappreciated.

O.O Sleep is important! But I hear you. Fic is better ;)

TW is one of those shows with really great characters who have fantastic chemistry all trapped together in a terrible plot, lol

Nailed it. Somehow they get all these amazing actors (see: 90% of the Teen Wolf and SPN casts) whose sheer talent holds together a mess of plotholes so well we still watch it.
