More very polite professional rejection letters from Real Publishers Inc. received today.

I'm thinking I'm gonna give up on trying to be published and stick with fanfic. I don't get paid, but on the other hand, my ego takes less of beating.

*huggles you* Don't give up, bb. The ones that gave up on you, it was their loss. But don't be the one to give up on yourself too. <3

You write fabulous m/m fic honey. Tell me who you've subbed to, and what their issues are. I might be able to help.

I've gone professional and have one book (originally fanfic turned to original fiction) published recently, and have 5 more books or short stories to be published by Nov this year. Its MORE than possible.

If you're really serious, though I can't do the work for you, I CAN give you connections and hook you up with industry people and publishers who have regular submissions calls out for erotica of every possible sort of m/m, f/f, menage, and other types of erotic fiction. If you're interested, pm me here or email me at sjhuntwrites@gmail.com -- I promise to hook you up with great publishers who are LOOKING for new talent all the time!

I can help you get published just like someone here who writes J2 helped hook me up to get published. Its all in who you know!

Don't give up! Contact me when you're ready to talk and get serious!

Hugs,

You = awesome.

I've been subbing mostly sci-fi gen, but I had considered erotica--it's just not a market I know all that much about, but if you'd be willing to do that for me, I would be so wildly appreciative, you don't even know.

/will pm to discuss further.

That's fine. Just pm me or email me more about what you want to accomplish, who you've contacted, and the heat rating (how hot) your stories are. That will help me.

Then, get set up on Facebook. You need an account for me to link you and network you with the HUGE community of authors I'm friended to there. They are composed of authors, publishers, editors, promo/marketing people, etc. I can get you in with half a dozen publishers who are screaming for hot original fiction. Esp m/m type. If you write m/m and use it in a sci-fi story, all the better. But just sci-fi, and its going to be harder to break into the biz. Erotica is where the demand is at present. Get started, get published and establish a name for yourself, then worry about branching out to other genres.

I check my email (in first comment) more often than I check my pms here. But I do check in at least twice a day. So, wherever you contact me is fine. Just know I'm in my email a lot more.

Will look forward to hearing from you. But yeah... we can get you published. Don't you give up! Just know any fanfic you've written that's really good, you'll HAVE to convert it to original fiction and it can't have any relationship to real life persons such as Adam/Kris. But your stories are good. There's no reason they shouldn't be going to print.

Talk soon & hang tough girl! You can do this!
Hugs,
Sam

Thank you bb. :)

I had heard that about JKR, actually. Those other publishers must be kicking themselves now...

Thank you :)

I just keep in mind that Stephanie Meyer is a published author, and then I don't feel so bad. :P
